When one does what is in the best interests of himself is the instinct of nature. The ability to reason gives man reign over situations that require consensus. One must realize what it takes to make society work in a complex world. Short, sited goals may mask long term opportunity. Savings today may limit gains tomorrow. The era of low interest rates should let everyone put any cost-effective project in America in play. Double down on the future when the cost and risks are low. The danger of reason is bean counters dictating the future.

The passage of an infrastructure bill will help everyone. Profits from government trough will fed the greed of corporate America. Programs to address housing concerns will get short shrift. Minimum wage increases will not be enough to alleviate housing problems. Policy must not be left at the station or people will sleeping under bridges or living in Bidenville.
